Our Portland Community

Come and discover what Portland can offer. Portland, Oregon – a unique progressive city,  a northwest destination spot, the “Most Sustainable City in the US” – a city with a population of over 550,000 –   but above all a place we comfortably call home, a home with many personalities and characteristics – a community some call “weird‘.  Watch this video, produced by one of our citizens:

We all have our favorite spots in and around Portland. For some it may be a bike ride out the Springwater Corridor Trail, or a walk through Laurelhurst Park. Others may enjoy some time with friends at a happy hour at one of the local McMenamins or taking your dog with you and having dinner at Lucky Labs.   My wife & I never seem to be able to get out of Powell’s  Book  store without finding more than one book we just have to add to our bookcase.   Oh, and do you enjoy a good breakfast?  Try the Caddillac Cafe on Broadway.  And then if you just wonder what do do when you get tired of the sun (I mean rain), check out all the possibilities to meet other Portland locals at Meetup.com.    There is no question in my mind that Portland, Oregon offers us a diversity and uniqueness – a breath of fresh air.
